MILESTONE REACHED

Posted by Larry Hohol on Sunday, September 9, 2012, In : Larry's News
Half a MILLION views of my video, "Worse than Rodney King - The Robert Leone Story" in less than 90 days. That is the good news. The bad news is we still don't have a federal investigation started and we still don't have a single politician that has publicly condemned the actions of the State Police or condemn the official coverup. NOT ONE! Not even the dog catcher.

Our "Police brutality worse than Rodney King" video goes viral

Posted by Larry Hohol on Monday, June 25, 2012, In : Larry's News

The release of my documentary concerning a police brutality case in Bradford County Pennsylvania appears to be going viral. In 4 days we have had over 7000 views of this 37 minute video. Actual dash cam video and audio clearly show this man was not combative in any way but was beaten and tasered repeated even AFTER he was shackled, hogtied, and totally submissive. The scariest part of all of this is that the Internal Affairs Dept of the PA State Police, Bradford County District Attorney, Br...

Thousands of Court Cases Fixed in Luzerne County

Posted by Larry Hohol on Saturday, December 10, 2011, In : Current News
I am trying to think back over the decades of how many civil and criminal cases have been fixed in Luzerne County. It is mind boggling. The Citizen's Voice caught a number of huge breaks here. Judge Ciavarella being found guilty of corruption is on the top of the list. Another break is that the Voice had deep enough pockets to continue on for almost a decade. The scariest part of all of this is the fact that NONE of the safety nets worked. The Appeals Court rubber stamped Ciavarella's origina...

What the Penn State and Kids for Cash scandals have in common

Posted by Larry Hohol on Wednesday, November 23, 2011, In : Kids for Cash Scandal
From the November 11, 2011 The Legal Intelligencer, written by Hank Grezlak. My comment follows the article.

It's Open Season on Children in Pennsylvania

In light of the Penn State sex abuse scandal, Pennsylvania really needs to change its nickname from the Keystone State to the Child Abuser State.
The shameful moniker fits. After a decade that has already included the Archdiocese of Philadelphia priest sex abuse scandal and the Luzerne County judicial scandal featuring "kids-for-cash," how c...

The Legal Intelligencer - Legal Observers Say Conahan's Sentence Fair, Starting Point for Healing

I couldn’t disagree more with all that were interviewed for this article.  I am a Luzerne County Native and a former Law Enforcement Officer from this County.  I am here to tell you that Ex-Judge/Convicted Felon Conahan told the biggest lie of his life while he addressed his victims and the Sentencing Judge. He stated the system was not corrup...

Prison Bound Felon Judge Conahan Tells the Biggest Lie of His Life

Posted by Larry Hohol on Sunday, October 2, 2011, In : Kids for Cash Scandal
Ex-Judge Conahan told the biggest lie of his entire life when he stated that the system was not corrupt. The system all the way through failed to stop both of these judges.  The Judicial Conduct Board knew the bulk of the issues that these two corrupt judges were eventually charged with.  Instead of investigating as the board is "REQUIRED" to do, the board tabled a detailed anonymous complaint against these very judges and instead went after the Judge suspected of being the author.  This same...

Attorney Who Bribed Judges Has Date Set for Sentencing

Posted by Larry Hohol on Thursday, September 29, 2011, In : Current News
Can someone.......anyone, please explain to me how Attorney Powell took $770,000 out of his company's cash flow and his business partner DID NOT NOTICE???? In the REAL world this would be so close to impossible that it would not even be considered, yet the US Attorney wants us all to believe that Powell's partner didn't know anything about it. How was it handled on the tax return for the company? I am here to tell you that if $770,000.00 was missing from my company's cash flow and I suspected...

Rule #1 in Litigation: Whoever Has the Deepest Pockets Usually Prevails

Posted by Larry Hohol on Tuesday, September 27, 2011, In : Thoughts about Judicial Corruption
The link below is a very well written and thought out article.  I know for a fact that whoever starts out in a lawsuit with the deepest pockets usually prevails.  Right or wrong,  black or white has little to do with the outcome.  Just when I thought things couldn't get much worse, it appears that the powerful elite are now going to use the courts to quiet the masses.  I am here to tell you that the courts are as much a political machine as any out there.  The scariest part is that judges are...

Ex-Judge Conahan of Luzerne County Sentenced to 17½ Years in Federal Prison

Posted by Larry Hohol on Saturday, September 24, 2011, In : Kids for Cash Scandal
I want everyone to understand that this is what Former Judge Conahan voluntarily pled guilty to and voluntarily accepted as his punishment.  He was indicted on 47 other counts, most of which were more serious than this single charge.  The only one who made out here today was Conahan and he is going to jail for a long time.  When he addressed Federal Judge Kosik he made it very clear he was not going to “Rat” on anyone.  He stated, “The system is not corrupt, I am corrupt”.  Of all the...

“Kids for cash” cover-up, federal style?

Posted by Larry Hohol on Wednesday, August 10, 2011, In : Kids for Cash Scandal
I am convinced that there is a cover up of the entire "Kids for Cash" scandal taking place before our very eyes.  Think about it.  The US Attorney's Office “shocked the world” when they rested their case against Ciavarella without presenting a single exhibit or witness to support the "kids for cash" charges in the indictment.  NOTHING on the record, NOTHING! US Attorney Peter Smith then stated after the trial that 12 guilty verdicts out of 39 charges was a great victory and that Federal C...

Ciavarella sentencing - my predictions

Posted by Larry Hohol on Sunday, August 7, 2011, In : Kids for Cash Scandal
Smoke and mirrors.  Don’t look at what Judge Kosik says, look at what he does.  The end result is the real, name of the game.  Here is my prediction.  Judge Kosik will sentence Ciavarella to a moderate to heavy jail sentence.  That will make the general public, who doesn’t know how the game is played, very happy.  Here is where it gets interesting.  I predict that Judge Kosik will then assign the heaviest jail time to the charges that Ciavarella has on appeal and very little time to the c...

Judicial Conduct Board corruption needs to be exposed again!

Posted by Larry Hohol on Saturday, July 30, 2011, In : Kids for Cash Scandal
The proper thing would have been to offer new trials to all juveniles who requested one and let stand the convictions and guilty pleas of all who did not request a new trial. By doing so taxpayer money would NOT have been required for restitution.  The Pennsylvania Supreme Court was in such a hurry to cover up the inexcusable activity of the Pennsylvania Judicial Conduct Board that justice or fairness never entered into the equation.  It was all about making this nightmare (exposure) go away ...

I said Judge Kosik wasn't doing anyone a favor except for Conahan and Ciavarella by rejecting their pleas.  Once again I will voice my concerns and make a prediction or two.  My concerns are “Justice Delayed is Justice Denied”.   There is nothing anyone can now do about the extremely slow turning of the wheel...

The Whole Ciavarella Prosecution Reeks of Damage Control

Posted by Larry Hohol on Wednesday, June 1, 2011, In : Kids for Cash Scandal
I honestly believe that if Ciavarella doesn't have certain demands met, he has threatened to spill the beans on the whole corrupt system all the way to Harrisburg.  The damage control started when the US Attorney's Office didn't present ANY evidence to support the actual "Kids for Cash" charges that were included in Ciavarella's Indictment.  "Not guilty" on 27 of the 39 charges is not a victory for the prosecution by anyone’s standards.  Before Ciavarella’s trial began I publicly predicte...

Just remember that Ciavarella has stated all along that the "Kids for Cash" scandal is a myth.  The way this case was prosecuted offers him "Proof" he may be right.  Not a single sentence, exhibit, or witness was presented during his trial to support any of the "Kids for Cash" charges thus he was found not guilty on 27 of 39 charges.  Something just doesn't add up.  Speaking of not adding up, when is Conahan going to be sentenced?  His whole plea deal was predicated on him testifying against ...

I am here to tell you that it is one of life’s greatest moments when someone totally unknown to you reads a book you have written about your life and then writes a review of this magnitude. I wish my book was about a subject that was more pleasant and inspiring. A book about succeeding in business and in life in general seems like it would be a better fit for me and who I am. US Attorney’s Office needs to change policy

I believe that every single person that is offered a plea deal in the Luzerne County corruption probe should spend time in prison.  If they chirp loudly and help expose other corruption I don't have a problem with a reduced sentence.  Single count plea deals for criminals that have exploited legitimate taxpayers dozens or hundreds of times for thousands or even millions of dollars just doesn’t cut it.  Hard working taxpayers are becoming as outraged by the leniency afforded these criminals ...

Posted by Larry Hohol on Saturday, January 15, 2011, In : Current News
Were the proceedings to remove Judge Lokuta tainted?  That is the real question here.  The Chairman of the Judicial Conduct Board was business partners in TWO businesses with the now indicted Judge Conahan.  Most of the 30 individuals that testified against Judge Lokuta worked directly for Conahan and Ciavarella and some of them have since also been indicted on corruption charges.  Upwards of 40 complaints had been filed against Conahan and Ciavarella prior to the Lokuta proceedings including...

Congressman Kanjorski said about a Man Campaigning for Governor: “Put Him Against the wall and Shoot Him!”

Posted by Larry Hohol on Wednesday, January 12, 2011, In : Current News
Imagine Kanjorski calling someone else...  anyone else, A CROOK!  I don’t think anyone out there thinks that he meant what he said on most subjects let alone this one.  I believe he literally didn’t want to take Governor Rick Scott out and put him against a wall and shoot him, however he did say it and it is called rhetoric. Anti-rhetoric is what all the politians who are trying to make hay with these days and are using it to bash their opposition.  Kanjorski must not have gotten the memo...

Wilkes-Barre Area School District Board Members should be embarrassed... But they're not!

Posted by Larry Hohol on Tuesday, January 11, 2011, In : Current News
The Wilkes-Barre School District should change the name of the Daniel J. Flood Elementary School to the Major Richard Winters Elementary School.  Major Winters is a true American Hero and I would never ask a son of mine to grow up and be just like Congressman Flood.  God bless America.

The Times-Leader article: 'Band of Brothers" Inspiration Winters Dies at 92

Where Paul Kanjorski Should Spend His Golden Years

Posted by Larry Hohol on Monday, January 10, 2011, In : Current News
In a new Scranton Times-Tribune interview Paul Kanjorski ADMITS that there is widespread corruption in his district.  Imagine that!

I have a question.  In the two plus decades that Mr. Kanjorski served as our Congressman, what did he do about this widespread corruption?  At best, NOTHING.  At worst, he participated in it.  Why didn’t the best and brightest of Corporate America want to participate in the development of Water Jet Technology?  The answer is because it had already been develope...

I'm Not a Fan of Judge Lokuta, BUT....

Posted by Larry Hohol on Saturday, January 1, 2011, In : Current News
My comments about Judge Lokuta have stirred some impassioned reactions from readers of my newspaper article comments and my blog.

Let me make it clear.  I am not a fan of Judge Lokuta.  That being said, we know that a number of people who testified against Judge Lokuta were committing felonies at the same time they testified against her.  We also know that the Chairman of the Judicial Conduct Board was business partners in TWO businesses with one of those admitted felons (Conahan) thus creatin...

The Lynching of Judge Lokuta

Posted by Larry Hohol on Sunday, December 12, 2010, In : Current News
Whether you love Judge Lokuta or you hate Judge Lokuta, what happened to her was a modern day lynching. I have no confidence that the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania will do the right thing here as they themselves are part of the problem. I believe the proceedings that removed her from the bench were tainted. No that's too politically correct. I believe that the proceedings that removed Judge Lokuta from the bench were fixed and fixed in a big, big way. I also believe that not only had Conahan ...

The Biggest Obstacle to Eliminating Judicial Corruption in Luzerne County

Posted by Larry Hohol on Saturday, December 11, 2010, In : Thoughts about Judicial Corruption
In order to RESTORE faith in the Luzerne County Juvenile Justice System one would have to first assume that there was ever faith in the system to begin with.  That my friends, is a huge assumption.  As a vocal critic of the Luzerne County Judiciary for over 20 years I am here to tell you that the more I dug into the cesspool we call the Courthouse the more I came to realize that the system is corrupt all the way to Harrisburg.  Mere exposure of this corruption does absolutely nothing to chang...

A Special Judge/Attorney Relationship

Posted by Larry Hohol on Tuesday, November 30, 2010, In : Thoughts about Judicial Corruption
This new Times-Leader newspaper article caught my attention!  Can anyone out there imagine going to trial knowing that the judge and opposing counsel have a very close SPECIAL relationship?  I am here to tell you that it happened ALL THE TIME in Luzerne County Court and the second anyone questioned these relationships they were pummeled.  After I formally questioned such a relationship former President Judge Patrick Toole responded to me in writing and I quote, "how dare you question the inte...

Kids for Cash Scandal. No... Atrocity!

Posted by Larry Hohol on Thursday, November 25, 2010, In : Kids for Cash Scandal
Everyone PLEASE Google the phrase “Kids for Cash”. It is a huge ongoing scandal involving a privatized prison in Pennsylvania in which thousands of children were illegally incarcerated over a period of about the last 5 years. Two State Judges have been arrested by the FBI for taking bribes amounting to over 2.8 million dollars from the prison developers and the prison operators. The entire safety net system up to and including the Supreme Court of PA failed to halt these incarcerati...
